Allu Arjun Not A Fan Of Word Bollywood, Reveals Pushpa Star

Actor Allu Arjun recently expressed his gratitude to a Bollywood filmmaker for postponing the release of their film, which was initially scheduled for December 6, 2024, to avoid a box office clash with his highly anticipated movie Pushpa 2: The Rule. While Arjun refrained from naming the Hindi film or filmmaker, he confirmed that the film in question was Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal.

During a successful meet for Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad on Saturday, which marked his first public appearance after being arrested and released on bail in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. Arjun shared that he personally called the Bollywood filmmaker to request a date change. “When I called up one of the filmmakers from Bollywood, from Hindi cinema, I’m not a fan of that word Bollywood. In Hindi cinema, I called somebody and I said, they were also supposed to come on December 6. They were very accommodating, and they moved from that date. I personally called them and thanked them for moving the date, and they said, ‘We’re all fans of Pushpa’, and if you come, then we will make way for it,” Arjun said.

Arjun also took the time to thank the entire team behind Pushpa 2, including his co-stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, but emphasised the critical role of director Sukumar. Calling him a “genius” and a “maverick,” Arjun praised Sukumar for his vision and artistry. “Behind Pushpa’s success is one man, please don’t fall into that trap, and it’s no one else but the director, Sukumar,” Arjun said. “We are all characters in his dream. He is the one who talks to the audience directly.”

Sukumar’s contribution, according to Arjun, transcends that of a filmmaker; he is an emotion. Arjun also called himself Sukumar’s “biggest fan” and thanked him for helping bring pride to the entire Telugu film industry.
