Vicky’s Excitement for Fatherhood
Vicky Kaushal recently appeared at the second edition of the Yuvaa Conclave in Mumbai, where he participated in a conversation with Nikhil Taneja. During the candid chat, the actor expressed immense joy and excitement about stepping into the realm of fatherhood.
When asked what he’s most looking forward to about becoming a dad, Vicky laughed and simply replied, “Just being a dad.” He then offered a slight hint about the timing of the delivery. “I am really looking forward to it… I think it is a huge blessing… Exciting times, almost there, so fingers crossed,” he shared, suggesting that Katrina’s delivery might be imminent.
The actor also joked about how committed he is to his new role, stating, “I don’t think I will step out of the house.” The video of this conversation quickly surfaced on Reddit, further fueling excitement among their fans.

Family is Thrilled and Nervous
Vicky’s younger brother and soon-to-be chachu (uncle), Sunny Kaushal, also recently commented on the happy news. He admitted that while the entire family is thrilled, there’s also a touch of nervousness about the future.
Speaking to a paparazzi at a Mumbai event, Sunny said, “It’s happy news and everyone is delighted. We’re also nervous about what lies ahead, so we are just waiting for that day to come,” capturing the mixed emotions of anticipation and anxiety within the family.
The Official Pregnancy Announcement
After months of intense media speculation, Vicky and Katrina finally confirmed they were expecting their first child last month. They made the announcement on Instagram, sharing a simple yet heartwarming black-and-white Polaroid photograph.

The picture captured a visibly pregnant Katrina looking down at her baby bump with a gentle smile. Vicky, resting his head affectionately against hers, was captured cradling the bump.
The couple captioned the post, “On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude.”
Vicky and Katrina, who had dated privately for a few years, tied the knot in a grand, royal wedding ceremony in December 2021 at the Six Senses Resort, Fort Barwara, in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. Interestingly, despite being one of Bollywood’s most powerful couples, they have never yet starred opposite each other in a film.
