Warrant Issued Against Ameesha Patel and Her Business Partner

According to a story in India Today., a film producer by the name of Ajay Kumar Singh filed a case of fraud, intimidation, and check bounce against Ameesha Patel and her business partner Krunal. Ameesha failed to show up for court despite numerous summonses, hence she was charged under sections 420 and 120 of the CrPC.

The complainant claimed that Ameesha and her business partner took Rs 2.5 crores from him for the production and promotion of the movie Desi Magic. Ameesha Patel and her business partner allegedly promised to repay the money with interest after the movie was finished, but it was never released, according to Ajay Kumar. She finally issued him two cheques in October 2018 for Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 50 lakh after several delays but the cheques got bounced. Warrant is issued against the actress for this fraud case.
