Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel made a successful debut with Rakesh Roshan’s ‘Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai’ opposite Hrithik Roshan. After that, she featured in multiple hits before facing a low phase in her career. Currently, the actress is basking in the success of her latest blockbuster ‘Gadar 2’. The film has given her a much-needed boost. During an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Ameesha walked down memory lane and spoke about her first film. She told me how special it was for her. The actress also revealed that after the release of ‘Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai’, Hrithik faced a problematic phase as he was giving back-to-back flops.

Talking about Hrithik, Ameesha said that she shares a close connection with the Greek God of Bollywood. She addressed the challenging phase of the actor’s career and disclosed how he used to be depressed as people started calling him a ‘one-hit wonder’ after his debut hit. They even began comparing him with other actors who gave just one hit movie in their entire career. The actress said that it is a sad tag to give to someone.

Furthermore, Ameesha mentioned that all the criticism used to disturb Hrithik mentally. He once told her, “But Ameesha, aap ne toh dusri film Gadar de di, main flop de raha hoon aap Gadar de rahe ho.”

The actress shared that when she got to know about the announcement of Rakesh Roshan’s ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ three years later, she was sure that Hrithik was going to make a strong comeback.

Ameesha also opened up on her cordial relationship with filmmaker Rakesh. She revealed that he had sent her a heartwarming message to extend congratulations for her role in ‘Gadar 2’.
