Amid Allu Arjun Arrest, Recall Siddharth’s Controversial Remarks On Pushpa 2 Fan Gatherings
Siddharth, the actor known for his candid remarks, has stirred a debate with his recent comments about fan gatherings at promotional events for Pushpa 2. As the film continues to rake in impressive box office numbers, Siddharth mocked the massive crowds that have gathered at various promotional events for the movie, particularly in Patna, Bihar.
In a viral video shared by trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan on social media platform X, Siddharth can be heard making a bold statement about the phenomenon of large crowds at promotional events. He said, “That’s also marketing. In India, people gathering is not an issue. Even if you station a JCB in our country, it will attract crowd. It’s not a big deal to see a huge crowd in Bihar. If you block a huge ground and organise something, then people will definitely turn up. For that, they have a song and a film.”
Siddharth’s comments came in response to the overwhelming attention and fanfare surrounding the promotion of Pushpa 2, which recently saw its trailer launch in Bihar, marking a significant promotional shift for the film. His comparison of the crowd’s enthusiasm to a JCB digging site was intended to highlight the ease with which large gatherings can be assembled, according to him, without necessarily being indicative of the quality of the event or the film.
The remarks quickly sparked a flurry of reactions on social media. While some agreed with Siddharth, others, particularly fans of Allu Arjun, did not take kindly to the comments. One user defended Siddharth, writing, “Siddharth always speaks facts.” However, many others criticized him, accusing him of harboring bitterness and jealousy. Some pointed out that Siddharth’s recent career has not seen any significant successes, with one comment stating, “Nobody knows Siddharth in the North… jealousy speaking.” Another user urged the actor to show more grace, writing, “Such statements are not expected from celebrities like Siddharth. Show some grace as a senior actor.”
Pushpa 2 – The Rule, written and directed by Sukumar, is a highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Despite the controversy, Pushpa 2 continues to enjoy immense popularity, with its promotional efforts creating significant buzz across the nation.
