Amid Britney Spears ‘Selfish’ Row, Dakota Johnson Mocks Justin Timberlake’s During SNL Monologue

Dakota Johnson, star of 50 Shades of Grey, makes fun of Justin Timberlake’s “comeback” as he prepares for his next world tour.

During the opening monologue, Dakota Johnson and Justin Timberlake reunited on the last edition of Saturday Night Live. In the 2010 blockbuster movie Social Network, the couple made their final on-screen appearance together in an uncomfortable “morning after” scene. In between promoting his new album and global tour, Johnson made fun of Justin during his monologue.

Justin Timberlake recently revealed that his sixth studio album will be out soon. He is now preparing for his first world tour in five years. Set to release on March 15, Everything I Thought It Was is Timberlake’s first LP since 2018’s Man of the Woods. During the SNL monologue on January 27, Johnson seized the opportunity to poke fun at Timberlake’s “comeback” after he pleaded to partake in the episode’s skits.

After crashing Johnson’s monologue, the ex-member of NSync stated, “I’ve hosted before.” Then he silently worded, “five times.” “Yeah, well, that was ten years ago,” the Madame Web actress responded to this. “I’m so happy you chose my show for your comeback,” she said.

Visibly offended but in a funny way, Timberlake questioned, “Comeback? Is that what we’re calling it?” “Yeah, come back in a good way,” Johnson answered. To this, the ‘Tunnel Vision’ singer replied, “Oh, OK, I see what this is. This is where we make a joke like, ‘First, he was bringing sexy back, and now he’s bringing coming back.”

Johnson, on the other hand, disagreed, saying, “I would not phrase it like that.” Johnson’s monologue was cut short by Jimmy Fallon, the host of a late-night show, in addition to Timberlake. “I am here to say break a leg,” Fallon declared, and he and the singer of What Goes Around Comes Around took off.
