​In the midst of swirling divorce rumours, actor Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, presented a united front as they celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on Thursday. The couple was seen together at their residence, with videos and photos of the family celebrating the festival quickly circulating online.

The visuals show Govinda in a red kurta-pajama and Sunita in a purple saree, as they warmly welcomed Lord Ganesha into their home. Their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, also joined in the festivities. In a gesture of goodwill, the family was seen distributing sweets to the paparazzi gathered outside their residence.

​The public appearance comes amidst fresh speculation about their rumored divorce, which first surfaced several months ago.

​Govinda’s Manager Dismisses Rumours as “Old News”

​Addressing the ongoing speculation, Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, called the rumors “outdated and misleading.” In a statement to PTI, he confirmed that Sunita had indeed filed for divorce on December 5, 2024, at the Bandra Family Court, citing cruelty, desertion, and adultery.

​However, Sinha stressed that the matter is now being resolved privately and that there have been no recent developments. “This is old news that surfaced six to seven months ago,” he said. “Now everything is getting settled. In a week or so, there will be some clarity.”

​He also highlighted Sunita’s active involvement in the Ganesh Chaturthi preparations as a sign of their reconciliation.

​A United Front

​While neither Govinda nor Sunita has officially commented on the divorce, their public display of unity during the festival seems to indicate a desire to keep their personal matters private. According to Govinda’s legal team, the court proceedings have not moved forward, and the couple is working through their issues internally.

​The Ahuja family’s focus appears to be on unity and celebration, with Govinda’s team firmly stating that there is no divorce on the horizon.
