Renowned Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai after he complained of shortness of breath, according to reports.

The veteran actor reportedly underwent an angioplasty procedure at the hospital, as per sources. Doctors at Kokilaben Hospital confirmed the operation, stating that it was performed to address a clot in his leg, reports indicate.

Contrary to initial speculations, Amitabh Bachchan was discharged from the hospital after the angioplasty. Some portals had wrongly reported that the procedure was performed on his heart.
