Unveiling Mumbai’s Coastal Road Undersea Tunnel
The recently inaugurated Coastal Road in Mumbai is a game-changer, connecting Marine Drive to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Stretching over 10.8 kilometres, this innovative infrastructure includes a two-kilometre tunnel bridging Priyadarshini Park and Marine Drive. Launched in phases, the project witnessed its first phase inauguration on March 11, graced by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.
Initiated on October 13, 2018, with an estimated cost of ₹12,721 crore, the Coastal Road aims to ease traffic congestion and offer a seamless commute for Mumbai’s residents.
