Indian-British actress and model, Amy Jackson grabbed a lot of attention with her latest Instagram post which contained a series of photos from her recent outing with boyfriend Ed Westwick. The actress left everyone in shock with her transformation which has made her look similar to Cillian Murphy’s role of Thomas Shellby from ‘Peaky Blinders’. As a result, Amy became a target of trolls.

Many commented on her uncanny resemblance to Cillian. “You were great in Oppenheimer,” wrote a user. “Cillian Murphy hacked her id,” commented another netizen.

Now, in a recent interview with The Times Of India, the actress has responded to the insensitive comments she received on her looks and called it ‘quite sad’.

Reacting to negativity surrounding her current physical appearance, Amy revealed that for the last one month, she has been filming a new project in the UK. So, for the character she is playing, she had to slim down and fully commit herself to the role. And as an actress, she takes her job very seriously.

Furthermore, the actress addressed the online bashing and said that the outcry on social media mainly from Male Indian demographic is quite sad. She mentioned how her male co-stars have been highly praised for changing their looks drastically for a film. Amy stated, “The moment a woman does it through unusual hair and makeup that doesn’t conform to their idealism of beauty, they think they have the right to troll you.”

Amy said that she is ‘over the moon’ over her comparisons to ‘Oppenheimer’ star. She stated that she is now ready to get her Birmingham accent ready for a comeback.

Amy Jackson is in a relationship with ‘Gossip Girl’ actor Ed Westwick. The duo recently holidayed in Udaipur together. They confirmed their relationship through an Instagram post in June last year. Before Ed, the actress was engaged to George Panayiotou with whom she has a son.

Professionally, Amy has starred in multiple Bollywood films like Ekk Deewana Tha, Singh is Bliing, and Freaky Ali among others.
