Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, has arrived in Jamnagar, Gujarat, to attend the three-day celebrations leading up to the wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of billionaire Viren Merchant.
The co-founder of Microsoft said that India’s large group of talented people shows that the money spent on education in previous years is “really paying off.”
Bill Gates’s first Indian wedding
That was Gates’s first Indian wedding. “I’m going to start at the top (laughs). This Indian wedding was so much fun that it will be hard to go to another one. The family is close to me, and I planned my trip so that I could go. I went and got fitted for clothes, so it’ll be a fun thing to do,” Bill Gates said.
Gates said that India is the world leader in health, education, and digital technology, and he praised the government’s focus on these areas.
“We’re talking with the government about how we can help other countries get the same benefits. They started this conversation very well, especially with their leadership in the G20,” Bill Gates said.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are in Jamnagar for pre-wedding
In Jamnagar, Gujarat, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s three-day pre-wedding party began on Friday evening.
Radhika Merchant is the daughter of businessman Viren Merchant and Anant Ambani is about to get married.
There are famous people from all over the world on the list of guests, from business leaders to Bollywood stars to cricket players and more.

The big event was attended by famous people such as Ivanka Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Dhoni, and Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.
