Talking about the menstruation issues faced by the actress in the entertainment industry, she says, ‘When I had just started acting, a friend of mine asked me if I still shoot when I have periods. Genuinely speaking, we have no choice. Life has to go on. For me, some days are easy and I don’t even remember that I am on my period and some days are very difficult. It is difficult on days when there are no bathrooms and you need to wear a particular type of dress. It can be uncomfortable.’

The actress took the conversation further and said, ‘You have to tell them that you need a clean washroom where you can change clothes. In my personal experience, speaking up has always helped. You have to ask for what you want and I have seen that they will give it to you, even if it makes some of the men around you uncomfortable.’ She also opened up that the stigma around menstruation also persists because it is not talked about at home and in schools.
