Ananya Panday Used To Hide From Sara Ali Khan, CTRL Actress Reveals Reason Why

Ananya Panday recently opened up about her school days with Sara Ali Khan, revealing that she used to hide from her out of fear. While the myth that female actors can’t be friends is often discussed, Ananya and Sara have disproven this stereotype with their close bond, especially after their appearance on Karan Johar’s chat show. The two star kids, often seen as competitors, surprised fans with their camaraderie, but Ananya shared that their friendship didn’t start out this way.

In a resurfaced interview clip, Ananya recalled feeling intimidated by Sara during their school years. She said, “I would actually hide from her because I used to be terrified. She’s always been outspoken, and back in school, she was even more so. I thought she would say something about me.” However, Ananya clarified that Sara never bullied her, noting that Sara didn’t even know her name and wasn’t interested in learning it. Instead, she would simply call her “Aye girl, come here” during a school play where Sara had the lead role.

This revelation has sparked mixed reactions online. Some fans criticized Ananya for allegedly trying to gain sympathy by sharing these childhood memories, with one commenter accusing her of “defaming” Sara for attention. On the other hand, some defended Ananya, with a few even mocking Sara for her “pretentious” public image, claiming it was a front for her true personality.

Despite their rocky start, it’s clear that both actresses have come a long way. Ananya is currently receiving praise for her role in the thriller “CTRL”, while Sara is preparing for her next big film, “Metro… In Dino”. Their friendship, now strong, shows how much they’ve evolved from their school days to successful actresses in the industry.
