Anjali Arora To Make B-Town Debut As ‘Goddess Sita’ In ‘Shri Ramayan Katha’: ‘I Could Do Justice…’

Anjali Arora will make her film debut as ‘Goddess Sita’ in ‘Shri Ramayana Katha’. She said she is confident that she will do justice to the role of Goddess Sita in the movie.

While Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial Ramayana has gone on floors, another adaptation of the Hindu epic is underway. Shri Ramayan Katha will be directed by Abhishek Singh. It is produced by Prakash Mahobiya and Sanjay Bundela. On a surprising note, influencer Anjali Arora, who also participated in Lock Up, has been cast in the role of Goddess Sita. This will be her debut film.

Reaction on getting the opportunity

Anjali is very ecstatic about being cast as Goddess Sita in the film. She feels blessed to have been offered the part. She was curious why the directors chose her for the role. She thinks she convinced them that she could do justice to the character.

“I feel blessed to have been offered the part. The character of Goddess Sita is so scared that no one can refuse it. Curious about why the director chose me, I asked him, and he said he had shortlisted a few actresses, including me. I believe they saw something in me that convinced them I could do justice to the character. I was finalised last month, and since then, I have been watching videos, doing readings, and attending workshops. I will give my best to do justice to the character,” she said.

Comparison with Ranbir’s Ramayana

With two films featuring the same epic of the Ramayana, there is bound to be a comparison, especially between the actresses. However, Anjali isn’t in denial. She is ready for the commission. She stated, “I am aware that comparisons are bound to be made, and who isn’t afraid of comparisons? However, if I am compared to a Bollywood actress, I will be happy.”
