Anne Hathaway Visits Vikas Khanna’s New York Restaurant, Chef Pens Emotional Note After Meeting

Chef Vikas Khanna took to Instagram to express his heartfelt emotions after Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway recently visited his restaurant, Bungalow, in New York. Sharing a picture with Anne and other guests in front of his restaurant, Vikas opened up about the profound impact the meeting had on him, reminiscing about the cherished memories it brought back.

In his emotional post, Vikas recalled how he and his late wife, Radhika, had watched Anne Hathaway’s films countless times together. “I’ve lost count of how many times Radha, @sammahmood, and I watched those movies together. She absolutely loved @annehathaway and knew every single line from The Devil Wears Prada by heart,” Vikas wrote. He remembered how reciting the movie’s dialogues had brought immense joy to Radhika, and how watching her laugh became one of the best remedies for difficult times.

As Vikas continued, he shared how those memories became too painful after Radhika’s passing, leading him to erase the files of the movie’s lines from his mind. “When the time came, I deleted every file and tried to forget those lines, as the memories were too much to bear,” he said. However, when Anne Hathaway visited his restaurant, Bungalow, those memories came rushing back. “Tonight, when my beloved @anjula_acharia and @furhan_ahmad brought Anne to Bungalow, it all came flooding back. Every line, every laugh.”

 

For Vikas, the experience of cooking and serving Anne Hathaway felt like a way to express his love and gratitude. “And somehow, I was so happy to feed her,” he added. “Cooking and serving are the only ways I know how to express love and gratitude.” He also shared a personal touch by editing a photo to include Radhika alongside Anne, saying, “I photoshopped my Radha into the photo, right next to her hero. I know she was there with us tonight.”

Vikas Khanna’s restaurant, Bungalow, which opened in March 2024, has quickly become a favorite in New York. Recently, actress Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas were also spotted enjoying a meal at the restaurant. Priyanka, along with her manager Anjula Acharia and friends, shared her experience, thanking Vikas for offering a taste of home.
