TV actress Rupali Ganguly has carved her niche in the industry with some stellar on-screen portrayals. From ‘Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai’ to ‘Anupamaa’, the actress has won accolades for every single role she has done in her career. Besides being a great actress, Rupali is also a responsible and aware person. Recently, on the special occasion of World Environment Day, the actress shared that she tries to save natural sources as much as possible.
Rupali who believes that a reform begins with oneself revealed that she has stopped taking shower bath a long time ago. Instead she prefers to take bath with bucket and mugs. Not only this, when she goes to a 5-star hotel and stays there, she calls the special staff and asks for buckets and mugs. Rupali does all this to not waste water and save it for future generations.
In an interview with HT, Rupali said, “I believe in the old saying ‘Our planet has everything we need to live. But all this is not enough for someone’s greed’. Everyone is greedy here. We need to think about what wrong example we are setting for the coming generations. We should always keep watching what we are wasting. Once you start thinking about this, you will begin taking steps from your side.”
Besides saving water by avoiding shower bath, Rupali also doesn’t throw away her old clothes. She does not change vehicles for status. She doesn’t believe in changing cars every 2-4 years and uses car when she is in a dire need of it.
For the uninitiated, Rupali Ganguly began her acting career as a child artist with 1985 film ‘Saaheb’. She gained fame through TV shows like ‘Sanjivini’, ‘Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai’, ‘Baa Bahu Aur Baby’ and ‘Anupamaa’.
