Anupamaa: Sagar Parekh Replaces His Real-Life Friend Paras Kalnawat; Says, ‘He’s Feeling Pressure’

Currently, television’s most-talked about and top TRP-recipient daily show, “Anupamaa,” starring Rupali Ganguly in the title role, is coming up with a new and surprising change soon. Yes, you read it right! The character of Samar Shah in the show, which was played by actor Paras Kalnawat, will now be played by actor Sagar Parekh. Let you know that, Sagar Parekh, who is Paras Kalnawat’s real-life friend, is now going to step into his reel-life character.

It is worth noting that Paras Kalnawat’s contract was terminated by the makers of the show because he signed on for the dance-based reality show, “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,” over “Anupamaa,” which airs on a rival channel.

Recently, in a conversation with a media agency, Sagar Parekh said, “Anupamaa is a popular show and Samar’s character is important as he is Anupamaa’s only dutiful son and support system in the show. I am also feeling a lot of pressure and a bit nervous about playing this character, as Paras who is my real-life friend, has essayed it very well. Entering an existing show is always a tough task, and at the same time, I am new to the entire team of the show. But I am excited too and looking forward to breaking the ice with my co-actors.”

He further added: “I have shot with Rupali ma’am and she has helped me a lot on the sets. Earlier, I didn’t get time to watch the show, but now I have closely watched the role of Samar. My family watches the show, so they keep telling me about this character as well, and they also explain that how he has many shades to play. Of course, I don’t have to do the same thing for this character, but I will surely bring my abilities and talent to the role.”

Speaking of the Sagar Parekh, he is in the industry for the last six years and he is originally from Ahmedabad. Prior to this, Sagar has appeared in shows like — “Fanaa: Ishq Main Marjawan,” “Internet Wala Love,” and “Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan.”
