Rupali Ganguly, the beloved Anupamaa star, has been making headlines lately not only for her acting career but also for her new venture into politics. Recently, the actress joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), marking a significant turning point in her life. “It was a very big deal for me, you know meeting PM Modiji, then joining the BJP was also a big moment for me,” Rupali said, visibly thrilled about her political journey. The actress faced a significant personal loss with the passing of her mother-in-law, who had been unwell for some time. “Losing my mother-in-law, that was the only thing last year that was the downside,” Rupali confessed. Despite this heartache, she focused on the positive aspects of her life, acknowledging that the year brought more joy than sorrow.
On a lighter note, Rupali shared her passion for learning new things outside of her acting career. She took time off from her busy schedule to experiment with pottery, calling it “therapeutic” and something she had been encouraged to try by friends. She proudly shared a video of herself making a clay pot, captioning it, “Shape your own destiny, one piece at a time.”
As for regrets, Rupali humorously admitted that her outspoken nature sometimes leads her to wish she could keep her thoughts more restrained in interviews. “I just think I should learn to keep my mouth shut in interviews or not give interviews at all,” she laughed, acknowledging her lack of a filter.
Looking ahead, Rupali is deeply focused on her family’s health and happiness, as well as her passion for animal welfare. “I look forward to my family’s health, their happiness, and getting closer to my dream of opening an animal shelter,” she revealed.
