Those who want to steal the show with their sultry ethnic look this festive season need look no further than Anushka, who gave traditional wear a sexy twist and the viral pictures made jaws drop for all the right reasons.

Taking to social media, the actress shared a series of photos from Kolkata in which she was seen putting her best foot forward. Anushka was photographed wearing a strappy green bling blouse that was sequined all over and had a plunging neckline to add oomph.

It was layered with six yards of elegance in a refreshing shade of sheer green saree with ruffles and polka dots. Anushka accessorised her look with a statement bejewelled neckpiece studded with precious stones, leaving her textured hair open down her shoulders in her signature side-parted hairstyle.

She went for dewy makeup with pink lipstick, rosy blushed cheeks, and filled-in brows. She simply captioned the photos with a diya and a green heart, leaving Tinseltown friends and fans swooning, while Virat commented with heart-in-eyes emojis.

The ensemble and jewellery are credited to Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s eponymous label, which boasts of high-end luxury Indian ensembles that highlight the use of traditional methods such as bandhani, gota work, block printing, hand dyeing, and so on in the construction of modern silhouettes, particularly in bridal wear.
