On Monday, Anushka Sharma was seen riding a motorcycle with her bodyguard after hitting obstacles on a small road in Mumbai. After her video was posted online and went viral, fans asked her why she wasn’t wearing a helmet. Two days after the incident, Mumbai traffic police sued Anushka Sharma’s bodyguard, Sonu Shaikh, and fined him for driving without a helmet and without a license.

In the video of the views, Both Anushka and her bodyguard were not wearing helmets while riding bikes as a tree had fallen and was blocking the route. On Twitter, Mumbai Traffic Police uploaded images of the complaint and said, “Challan has been issued under Sec 129/194(D), Sec 5/180 & Sec 3(1)181 MV act to the driver along with a fine of Rs. 10500 and has been paid by the offender.” While not wearing a helmet is fined ₹500, driving without a legal license fined roughly ₹10,000. They were responding to a Twitter user’s criticism about the actor and security not wearing helmets on their short trip.

Amitabh Bachchan Also Seen without a helmet on Bike

Earlier this week, Amitabh Bachchan posted a photo on Instagram of her driving to work without a helmet. He said he was stuck in traffic when that man helped him to get to work on time. The Mumbai police assured users that they would respond to two complaints. The veteran actor later revealed on his blog that he had obtained all the official permits for filming in South Mumbai and had not broken any laws.
