AR Rahman’s Daughter Khatija Marries Entrepreneur Riyasdeen; Singer Shares Pic

Khatija Rahman, the daughter of musical legend AR Rahman, married Riyasdeen Riyan. The iconic musician shared the good news with his fans via a precious photo from his daughter’s wedding.

Just a few moments ago, his daughter Khatija turned to social media to share her first photo as a married pair with Riyasdeen Riyan. The newlyweds can be seen in the shot standing next to each other and posing for the cameras in their stunning costumes.

Sharing the picture, Khatija wrote, “The most awaited day in my life. Married to my man @riyasdeenriyan.”

Sharing a picture from the ceremony, Rahman wrote, “May the Almighty bless the couple .. thanking you in advance for your good wishes and love @khatija.rahman @riyasdeenriyan #nikkahceremony #marraige (sic).”

In the comments section of the post, netizens quickly congratulated the newlyweds. Singer Shreya Ghoshal commented, “Hearty congratulations @khatija.rahman @riyasdeenriyan God bless the beautiful couple. ♥️♥️.” While Producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s wife Warda Khan Nadiadwala wrote, “Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉.”

AR Rahman, his wife Saira Banu, and their children Ameen and Rahima are seen posing with the newlyweds in the shot. Rahman’s mother, Kareema, is also photographed and kept beside the newlywed couple for her blessings.

Khatija has performed a few songs in Tamil films, and her spouse is an audio engineer and budding entrepreneur, for those who are unaware. On December 29, last year, Khatija Rahman engaged Riyasdeen Riyan. With the blessings of the Almighty, I’m happy to announce to you all my engagement with Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed @riyasdeenriyan, an aspiring entrepreneur and a whiz audio engineer. The engagement happened on 29th December, my birthday in the presence of close family and loved ones,” she wrote while announcing her engagement.

When novelist Taslima Nasreen labelled Khatija’s burqa suffocating in 2020, she became entangled in a dispute. Khatija, on the other hand, handled the situation with grace. She stated that she was free to dress as she pleased.
