Archana Puran Singh Reveals She Was Injured During Film Shooting, Hospitalised

In a recent vlog on her popular YouTube channel, Archana Puran Singh opened up about the serious injuries she sustained while filming a movie with Rajkummar Rao. The actress revealed that she had tripped and fallen, shattering her wrist and injuring her face in the process. Despite the severity of the injuries, Archana was quickly hospitalised and managed to recover within a few days, returning to work soon after.

The vlog begins with real footage of Archana’s fall during the early morning shoot. The footage shows her crying in pain and collapsing off-camera, with concerned crew members rushing to her side and taking her to the hospital. Her husband, Parmeet Sethi, was also immediately informed about the accident.

Archana shared that while recovering, she felt compelled to call Rajkummar Rao to apologise for the delay she caused in production. She assured him that she would return to set as soon as possible to prevent any further disruption. “I called Rajkummar Rao and told him I’m upset about leaving the shoot. I’m returning tomorrow to complete the work, because those poor guys are going to suffer losses otherwise. I’m wearing a full-sleeve outfit and will be shot from angles where you won’t even notice my injury,” she said in the vlog.

In a heartwarming moment, Ayushmann Khurrana, who is close to the Puran Singh family, called Archana’s son, Aryamann, to update him on the situation. “Kuch bohot bura nahi hua hai, but unka haath toot gaya hai. So we need to go to the hospital,” Ayushmann said, trying to calm Aryamann, who broke down in tears. Ayushmann reassured him that Archana would be fine and recover soon.

Despite the painful ordeal, Archana’s humour remained intact throughout her recovery. Initially refusing to be filmed on the first day, she later agreed to let the camera roll. Parmeet lightened the mood with his signature dad jokes, quipping, “She’s doing so much chapad-chapad; it means she’s fine now,” as Archana admired the view of Mumbai from her hospital room. She even joked about the beauty of the view, tempted to stay longer but acknowledging that she had unfinished work to attend to.

Archana’s swift decision to return to work the very next day highlighted her commitment to her craft. “I couldn’t let the production suffer,” she said. Once home, she reunited with her sons and shared that she was starting to regain feeling in her hand. Wrapping up the vlog, Archana ended on an optimistic note, stating that everything happens for a reason and that she would continue with her work without delay.
