Last night, Arjun Bijlani was declared the winner of Rohit Shetty’s stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi. Since the news of him lifting the trophy broke the internet, the netizens and fans of Divyanka who ended up being the first runner-up, started bashing and trolling the makers of the show for being biased towards Bijlani. Some social media users claimed that Arjun’s win was fixed as he is the face of the channel.
Now, Arjun has spoken about the same. The Ishq Mein Marjaavan actor has said that it is disheartening to see that people do not even spare the host.
Beginning with sharing his excitement, Arjun said, “It feels amazing. Itne shock khaaye hain maine aur itni mehnat ki hai show par. During the finale stunt, I kept telling myself, ‘This is it. You have reached this far and now it’s a do-or-die situation. Just go and give it your all’. That’s exactly what I did… I gave the show my all.”
Elaborating further, Arjun Bijlani in an interview with BollywoodLife said, “It is very sad. This show is not based on who people like or the channel prefers. It is based on who performs a stunt faster or with more finesse. The finale stunt, I did it faster. The other day Divyanka did some stunts faster. I was better on that day, the channel was not doing the stunt. Once people see it, they’ll know it is a tough stunt, and Divyanka was caught in the net for a while. Everyone who saw the stunt knew I did it faster.”
Arjun also added that it is natural because everyone wants their favorite participant to win the show. “It is odd to think or assume that’s how all reality shows work. I take such comments with a pinch of salt,” he added further.

Talking about the host of the show, director Rohit Shetty, Arjun said, “Rohit sir is an honest person. He is very strict about safety and everything. It is impossible to cheat under him. People should realize this too. But then people also call hosts biased, what does one do.”
On a concluding note, the actor said that he knows that he cannot change people’s thinking and is not bothered about people who are doubting his victory. He is concerned with those who are celebrating with him.
For the unknown, Arjun Bijlani was pitted against Divyanka Tripathi and Vishal Aditya Singh in the finale stunt. While Vishal aborted the finale stunt, Divyanka lost to Arjun by a minute difference of 20 seconds. Along with the trophy, Arjun took home prize money of Rs 20 lakh and a swanky car from Swift.
