Arshad Warsi Reveals Why He Got Replaced In ‘Bigg Boss’ And ‘Jolly LLB 2’

Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi hosted the first season of controversial show ‘Bigg Boss’. However, after that he did not get a chance to host the successive seasons of the reality show. At the same time, the actor was seen in first instalment of ‘Jolly LLB’, but in the second part he was replaced by Akshay Kumar. Now, in a recent interview, Arshad has talked about the same.

In a conversation with a leading daily, Arshad took up the question of not doing ‘Bigg Boss’ and not playing the lead in ‘Jolly LLB 2’. Both the projects were hits, but Arshad did not appear in any of them. Arshad was replaced by Salman Khan in ‘Bigg Boss’, while Akshay replaced him in ‘Jolly LLB 2’.

Arshad said, “Actually, that was the original plan. I would do the first part of ‘Jolly LLB’ and Akshay would do the second. Now, Jolly LLB 3 is in making. In this, both I and Akshay are playing leads. As far as Bigg Boss is concerned, I could not do the second season because I had some other commitments. I had to go to London for a shoot. And I think Salman is the best host for the show. No one can host like Salman. Reality shows need a ‘Dabangg’ host like Salman.

Arshad was not happy working in ‘Hulchul’

Arshad shared that he was not happy with his part in the film ‘Hulchul’. He said, “To tell the truth, I did not like working in ‘Hulchul’. I had to do it because of my profession which is acting. But personally, I was satisfied with the film. I just did my work and left. Sometimes some things in life are not good.”  The film starred Akshaye Khanna, Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Arbaaz Khan, and Sunil Shetty. It was directed by Priyadarshan.

Workwise, Arshad Warsi’s mythological crime thriller ‘Asur 2’ is streaming on Jio Cinema. The show has become a mega hit. Arshad will appear next in ‘Jolly LLB 3’.
