The recent controversy that has surrounded the King Khan of Bollywood is his son Aryan Khan’s arrest in alleged possession and consumption of illegal drugs. On October 3, Aryan was called for interrogation by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after NCB’s raid at a rave party on board the Empress Cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. Later in the day, a Mumbai court sent Aryan and two others into NCB custody till October 4.
Soon after Aryan’s alleged involvement in drugs made headlines, actor Suniel Shetty came out in support of him and said, “Let’s give that child a breather.”
Now, Shah Rukh Khan’s close friend and actor Salman Khan has been spotted outside the former’s residence. Salman reached SRK’s residence at midnight on Sunday, hours after the superstar’s son, Aryan Khan, was arrested by an anti-drugs agency, NCB. In the pictures, Salman Khan could be seen in the backseat of a white SUV. Salman has come to land SRK his support in this difficult situation.
Besides, Suniel Shetty and Salman Khan, Shah Rukh’s co-actresses Pooja Bhatt and Suchitra Krishnamoorti have also come out in support of him.
Pooja Bhatt, who worked with King Khan on the movie Chaahat, tweeted, “I stand in solidarity with you @iamsrk. Not that you need it. But I do. This too, shall pass.” She added a folded hands emoji at the end.
Calling Aryan’s arrest a tamasha, Suchitra, who was SRK’s heroine in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, tweeted, “Nothing harder for a parent than seeing their child in distress. Prayers to all.” In another tweet, she mentioned how Bollywood stars pay a heavy price for their fame. “For all those targeting #Bollywood remember all the #NCB raids on film stars? Yes, nothing was found and nothing was proved. #Bollywood gawking is a tamasha. It’s the price of fame,” she said.
The charges against Aryan include purchase, possession, and use of banned substances, the NCB said. Before Aryan’s arrest got confirmed, Shah Rukh Khan was also seen leaving his home and heading for his lawyer’s office.
