Ayushmann Khurrana Dropped Out of Sunny Deol’s Film ‘Border’ Because of Being Unsure of His Position In Film

Sunny Deol recently announced the sequel to his blockbuster film ‘Border’. There were speculations that the film which will be directed by Anurag Singh, will star Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role alongside Sunny Deol. However, now according to one of the media reports Ayushmann has left ‘Border 2’ after months of negotiations as he was confused about his role.

According to media reports, “Ayushmann was in talks to play a soldier in the sequel. Both Ayushmann and the producers were keen to collaborate, but the actor was not sure about his position in Sunny Deol’s film.” Because of this dilemma in Aysuhmann’s head, he decided to keep a distance from the film and would not be a part of the movie anymore.

Recently, rumors also stated that the film will feature Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role. Talking about this, the source said, “Nothing has been confirmed yet. But Diljit has been approached by the makers. Given his strong audience base in North India, it will be a treat to see Diljit and Sunny together on screen but how things will work out we are not sure as of now.” Let us tell you that the film is expected to go on floors by November.

Let us tell you that Director JP Dutta’s cult classic ‘Border’ completed 27 years in June 2024 and Sunny Deol gave fans a big surprise by announcing the sequel ‘Border 2’. On Instagram, Sunny released an announcement video, in which he said, “27 years ago a soldier promised that he would return. To fulfill that promise, he is coming to pay his respects to the soil of Hindustan.” Border which was released in the year 1997, is a story set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The patriotic film starred Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles.
