The immensely talented actor, Ayushmann Khurrana, is all set to release his first full-fledged action film, “An Action Hero,” pretty soon. The National Award-winning actor is finally bidding adieu to small-town youth roles with the film, which features him in the role of a movie star. At a recently held event, Ayushmann Khurrana talked about the film “An Action Hero” and revealed some exciting updates on the much-anticipated Anirudh Iyer directorial.

The film doesn’t have any female leads

Ayushmann Khurrana, who talked about “an action hero” at the event, confirmed that it does not have a female lead in this action genre film. This confirmation of the actor has come as a big surprise to the audience. As per Ayushmann, this action genre film does not demand a female lead as it revolves around the two main characters played by him and Jaideep Ahlawat. He also revealed that there is no romantic track in the film.

Interestingly, Ayushmann Khurrana said that he decided not to include a forced romantic track in the film as it might distract the audience from the main plot. Although, the lead cast confirmed that Malaika Arora and Nora Fatehi will make special appearances in the movie.

About “An Action Hero”

Earlier, Ayushmann Khurrana revealed that “An Action Hero” is indeed a genre breaker for him. The supremely talented actor plays the role of Manav, a young Bollywood action hero who is chased by Bhoora Solanki, a municipal councillor from Mandothi village in Haryana. The role of Bhoora Solank is portrayed by Jaideep Ahlawat in the film.

Speaking at the recent event, Ayushmann also added that his camaraderie with Jaideep Ahlawat is going to be the best of 2022. Significantly, the film “An Action Hero,” which is set to hit theatres on December 2 of this year, is jointly produced by Aanand L. Rai and T-Series.
