Actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana, currently on a music tour in the United States, had a heartwarming moment with his fans during his performance in New York City on November 16. Performing in front of a packed crowd at a concert venue, Khurrana, who is travelling with his band Ayushmann Bhava, was caught off guard when an audience member threw a bunch of dollar bills onto the stage in appreciation of his performance.

The incident occurred while Khurrana was singing his popular track “Pani Da Rang” from his debut film Vicky Donor (2012). As the money flew onto the stage, the actor paused his performance and addressed the fan with a polite but firm request.

“Paaji, aisa na karein yar. Please don’t do this. Aise na karo aap, aap uska charity kar dein, kuchh kar dein, ye mat karein aap please,” Ayushmann said, urging the fan to donate the money to a charitable cause instead. He continued, “I love you. Aapki bahut saari izzat hai, par aap isko please charity khul ke karein aap, bina kisi ko bataye, bina kisi ko dikhaye. Main kya karunga iska?” (I respect you a lot, but please give this to charity, without telling anyone, without showing anyone. What would I do with it?)”

The actor’s request was met with applause and cheers from the audience, who were impressed by his humility and sense of responsibility. After the brief pause, Khurrana resumed singing, and the crowd continued to hoot in admiration for his gracious gesture.

The incident quickly went viral, with fans and netizens praising Khurrana’s thoughtful handling of the situation. Many lauded his decision to prioritize charity over personal gain, reflecting his down-to-earth personality and commitment to giving back to the community.

On the professional front, Ayushmann Khurrana was recently seen in Dream Girl 2 and will next star in Thama, a horror-comedy film under Maddock Films. In the upcoming movie, Khurrana will play a vampire, joining a star-studded cast that includes Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Thama is slated for release during Diwali 2025.
