Badshah Fined Rs 15.5k For Traffic Violation? Rapper Refutes Claim
Popular Bollywood rapper Badshah has refuted allegations of being involved in a traffic violation after reports claimed he was fined ₹15,500 for driving on the wrong side of the road in Gurugram on December 15. The incident reportedly occurred while he was on his way to perform at Punjabi singer Karan Aujla’s concert.
According to Gurugram Police, Badshah was part of a convoy of three vehicles, including a Mahindra Thar, that allegedly took an illegal route, sparking public outrage. Virender Vij, Gurugram’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), stated, “The Thar was registered in the name of Dipender Hooda of Panipat, who was driving the vehicle. An online fine of ₹15,500 was imposed on Hooda under three sections of the Motor Vehicle Act, including dangerous and wrong-side driving. While Badshah was in the convoy, it is not clear if he was driving.”

Badshah’s Response
In response, Badshah’s team released an official statement denying the allegations. They clarified that Badshah was a passenger in a Toyota Vellfire driven by a licensed professional and was not operating any vehicle at the time.
The statement read: “We categorically deny any involvement of Badshah or his team in the reported traffic violation. Badshah was being transported in a white Toyota Vellfire, and none of the vehicles in our convoy were involved in the alleged incident. We are fully cooperating with inquiries and have documentation to confirm his whereabouts and travel arrangements.”
Badshah also addressed the reports on Instagram, writing, “Bhai, Thar toh hai bhi nahi mere paas, na main drive kar raha tha us din (I don’t even own a Thar, nor was I driving that day). I was in a white Vellfire, and we always drive responsibly.”
As investigations continue, Badshah’s team has urged media outlets to ensure responsible reporting based on verified information.
