Avika Gor’s name immediately brings to mind little Anandi from the TV serial Balika Vadhu. Avika rose to prominence in this daily drama at an early age. Following this, his second show, Sasural Simar Ka, was a huge success.

Avika Gor Blames South Industry for Nepotism

Avika Gor entered the film industry after leaving television. She has been in a number of South films. At the same time, she is about to make her Bollywood debut. Meanwhile, Avika discussed the South Film Industry, making severe claims of nepotism.

Avika Gor called the South Film Industry as a “shop of nepotism” on Siddharth Kannan’s show. According to the actress, most people associate nepotism with Bollywood, yet the majority of it occurs in the South.”See, when it comes to star power, South is all about star power,” Avika explained. When it comes to nepotism, we’re all sick of hearing it… So the situation is identical… It’s just that the audience doesn’t like seeing it there like they do in Bollywood.”

The actress continued, “A bias has been created for Hindi films, we will judge every bollywood films jo bhi yeh banayenge .As a member of the industry, I believe it has become a biassed mindset over time. There was a period when a lot of remakes in the south lasted a long time… So people assumed we were merely copying.I believe it’s just that bias.”

Concerning nepotism in the South film industry, Avika stated, ‘Nepotism is very much present in the Telugu film industry; I don’t know how people decide whether or not to watch… People, I believe, have manufactured hype. I’ve done it, and I’m hoping that as time passes, social media will relax as well.

Let us tell you that Avika will be making her Bollywood debut very soon. She will appear in Vikram Bhatt’s daughter Krishna Bhatt’s forthcoming horror thriller ‘1920 Horrors of the Heart,’ which is set to hit theatres on June 23.
