Bangladeshi actress Raima Islam Shimu, who reportedly went missing numerous days ago, has been found dead. Her body was planted in a sack near the ground in Dhaka’s Keraniganj. Police investigation revealed that the local people of that area noticed the body of the actress near Alipore Bridge in the Kadamtala area on Monday, January 17, and informed the police station.
Multiple injury marks on the body
Raima has been oppressively bobbled. The actress has multiple injury marks on her body. The body of Raima Islam Shimu was tied in a sack and thrown near the ground on Sunday. A top police functionary said the body has been transferred to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital (SSMCH) for postmortem and the matter is being excavated.
Husband filed a missing complaint
After Shimu went missing on Sunday, her family members complained to the Kalabagan police station. The police have registered a case of unnatural death and detained the actress’s husband Shakhwat Ali for questioning too. Along with Ali, his driver has also been taken into custodianship.
The Dhaka Police in their sanctioned
the statement had said a family disagreement was the reason behind the murder of the actress. At the same time, now the hubby of the late actress has confessed to the murder. Dhaka’s Senior Judicial Magistrate Rabeya Begum on Tuesday remanded Shimu’s hubby Shakhawat Alim Nobel and their friend SMY Abdullah Farhad for interrogation.
Started acting career with the film Bartaman
Raima, the 45- time-old actress made her debut in 1998 with the film’Bartaman’. She has acted in 25 films since also. She was an associate member of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association. Incremental from films, she also acted in and produced Television dramatizations. She has her own production house.
