The most popular reality show on Indian Television, Bigg Boss has hit the screens. To spice up things, makers have brought in faces which have some controversy attached to them. And one of them is Sajid Khan. The Housefull filmmaker was accused by around 9 women of sexual harassment during the MeToo movement in India. Post this, The Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) had barred him from directing films.
Sajid, who was out of work from last four years made a smashing entry into the glass-walled house and in his support, came out one of the most popular faces from Bigg Boss, Shehnaaz Kaur Gill.
Gill, who enjoys humongous fan following was seen backing Khan. When Sajid appeared on stage with host Salman Khan, a video message for him was displayed on screen. In the clip, Shehnaaz was heard calling Sajid her brother while wishing him best for his journey on the show.
“Hi Sajid bhai, you are going inside the Bigg Boss house and I am very happy for you. The way you have always made the audience laugh on television and through your scripts, just go all out in the reality show also. Just spread smiles and please do not fight with anyone. Just entertain everyone and be real. My support is with you, rock it brother,” quoted Shehnaaz.
Now, this shoutout from Shehnaaz for Sajid has not gone down well with netizens as a result of which she got mercilessly trolled. People are saying that Shehnaaz is doing all this to get a movie from Sajid or his sister, Farah Khan. And not just this, users online are also irked with makers of Bigg Boss for giving Sajid Khan this platform. They feel that all this is done to whitewash Sajid’s image.
“9 women had accused #SajidKhan of Sexual abuse… And He Got Support. Of course He will be the Next Baby Face of Channel & the winner by the support of Salman ,Farah & Endemol Itlsef,” read one tweet.
