Bollywood and controversy goes hand in hand. From love affairs to clashes between Bollywood stars, the film industry generates maximum controversy.Recently, Bollywood actress Ileana D’Cruz announced her pregnancy on social media but didn’t reveal the child’s father’s name.

The shocking thing is Illeana D’Cruz is unmarried but still has become pregnant. However, this is not the first time when Bollywood actresses have become pregnant before marriage and indulged in controversy. There are many 90s actresses as well as modern day actresses who have proudly accepted and announced their pregnancy in unmarried life.

Sridevi 

Late Sridevi dated and married her Mr. India producer Boney Kapoor during the 90s. After only a few months of affair, Sree Devi had become pregnant. The couple then married in a hush-hush wedding in June 1996 to avoid any controversy. However, her pregnancy news got confirmed when she gave birth to daughter Jahnvi Kapoor within just a few months after the marriage. The ‘Chandani’ actress herself had accepted several times about becoming pregnant before marriage.

Neena Gupta

Neena Gupta’s affair with West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards is known to everyone. The Panchayat actress had become pregnant while dating Vivian. Since Vivian Richards was already married, he refused to leave his first wife for Neena and his unborn child. Neena still gave birth to their daughter and raised her as a single mother. Neena and Vivian’s daughter Masaba Gupta is a popular fashion designer now. 

Kalki Koechlin 

Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani fame Kalki Koechlin had proudly announced her pregnancy while dating her Israel based painter Guy Hershberg. She is still unmarried and is in a live-in relationship with Hershberg and raising their child together. The actress gave birth to her daughter in 2020. Kalki was earlier married to Producer-director Anurag Kashyap but they divorce in 2015.

Natasha Stankovic

Natasha Stankovic is today married to Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. The duo got married in May 2020 in a court marriage. However, the reason for their court marriage was Natasha’s pregnancy before marriage. The Serbian actress was 7 months pregnant during her marriage. Hardik and Natsha had announced their marriage and pregnancy at the same time through an Instagram post. The couple became proud parents of son Agastya Pandya just two months after their marriage. Natasha was also earlier in a relationship with Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor Aly Goni.

Alia Bhatt got married to Barfi actor Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022. The actress announced her pregnancy after 2 months of marriage. However, she gave birth to their child only 7 months after their marriage. Thus, it was pretty much clear that the ‘Raazi’ actress was pregnant before her marriage.

Sarika Thakur 

Sarika Thakur was one of the gorgeous actresses of Indian Cinema during the 90s. She got hitched to South Superstar Kamal Hasan in 1988. The couple welcomed their first child Shruti Hasan in 1986, 2 years before their marriage. Sarika and Kamal Hasan are divorced now and live separately.
