Sometimes wax figures look just like the real people they are based on, and sometimes they are not at all like the real people. Last week, Madame Tussauds Blackpool in the UK revealed two new fax figures of Lady Gaga and Beyoncé, two of the biggest names in music.
The former singer’s wax figure didn’t get as much attention as the singer of “Single Ladies.” But people on the internet have gone crazy talking about how much the wax figure looks like American actor Leah Remini.
Fans say that the new Beyoncé wax figure looks like Leah Remini
Fans want to know if it’s Beyoncé or Leah Remini. Beyonce’s Madame Tussauds wax figure was revealed on Wednesday. It shows the “Crazy in Love” singer wearing a beautiful silver bodysuit with a long, flowy bow.
The figure of the singer also comes with silver gloves that match. Fans are completely shocked that it is Beyoncé, even though she looks a bit like her, especially with her long, light brownish-blonde hair.
Social media is full of comments
Soon after pictures of the wax figure became popular, a lot of people took to social media to share how they felt about it. It looks like most people agree that the figure is more like the King of Queens star.
People on X (which used to be Twitter) shared the picture of the wax figure with the words “I thought this was Leah Remini before I opened the pic.” Another fan agreed with what was said and asked, “Is that Leah Remini?”
Many people have said bad things about wax statues of famous people before. In October of last year, a Paris wax museum got a lot of bad press for “whitewashing” a figure of Dwayne Johnson. The WWE star posted a video that one of his friends had shared on Instagram to talk about what was going on.
“Just so you know, I’m going to have my team get in touch with our friends at the Grevin Museum in Paris, France 🇫🇷 so we can work on “updating” my wax figure here with some important details and improvements, starting with the colour of my skin.” The Black Adam star wrote, “And the next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop in and have a drink by myself.”
