In a conversation with Raj Shamani on his podcast, Bharti recalled her college days when she often visited other campuses for workshops and skits. Since she had to catch an early morning bus, she would find herself surrounded by milkmen, many of whom misbehaved with her by touching her inappropriately. Sharing the experience, she stated:

“Jab paise bilkul nahi the, main colleges mein comedy skits karvane jaati thi. Mujhe samajh nahi aata tha tab. Aaj good touch-bad touch batate hai, mujhe toh pata hi nahi tha.”

In the same conversation, Bharti revealed that she was never taught the difference between good and bad touch. It took her over a year to realize what was actually happening. Recalling one traumatic incident, she shared: “Mujhe dedh saal tak samjha hi nahi ki chhed rahe hai. Jab kisine kass ke pakda, phir samajh aaya lekin sochti rahi ki voh girne laga ho aur vahi cheez haath mein aa gayi.”

In her words:  “Jaise main dimag se badi hui, good touch-bad touch samajh aa gaya, toh mere andar ki Bharti jagi aur maine maari bohot kohniyan. Maine apne se lambe lambe ladkon ko mara chahe mere haath baad mein kaampe.”
