Bollywood beauty Bipasha Basu is currently enjoying her motherhood phase. She became mom to her daughter Devi some time ago and is now having a gala time raising her. The actress keeps sharing glimpses from her journey as a mother on social media. However, recently Bipasha made a shocking revelation about her baby girl which many don’t know. She disclosed that Devi was born with ventricular septal defect. The little girl had to undergo an open-heart surgery at the age of three months.

On August 5, 2023, Bipasha joined actress Neha Dhupia for a live session on Instagram. While talking about motherhood, she shared that her daughter was born with two holes in her heart. She got to know about the same on the third day after having her little munchkin. The actress had to run for scans every month to know if holes are healing on its own. But the kind of large hole that Devi had was doubtful. After waiting for three months, it was decided that the baby girl will be operated.

Bipasha broke down in tears while recalling the difficult time. She said that she felt burdened and conflicted while putting her child in open heart surgery. The actress mentioned that the operation went on for six hours. She said that when Devi was in OT, she felt like her life had stopped. However, she was hopeful that nothing wrong would happen. Bipasha shared that the surgery was successful, and now, Devi is okay.

For the unknown, Bipasha Basu welcomed her first child with actor-husband Karan Singh Grover on November 12, 2022. The couple tied the knot on April 30, 2016.
