Bobby Deol, recently seen and praised in the superhit blockbuster film Animal, felt immensely grateful and full of gratitude for the audience and fans showering love and praise for the ”Deol” clan in 2023. He acknowledged the love and praise that his family has been receiving and feels much more confident and hopeful for his future endeavours.

Undoubtedly, Bollywood has been ruled and dominated by the Deol clan this year as they have given many hits like Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani, Gadar 2, and Animal. In a recent interview with News 18, he recounted the immense love that he and his family have received and called himself lucky. Dharmendra graced Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani with his magnificent presence, Sunny Deol with his blockbuster film Gadar 2 broke all the records, and Bobby’s inclusion in Animal needs no words of appreciation as it speaks for itself.

Grateful for the audience’s love

Bobby Deol in this interview acknowledged the audience’s love by calling it “genuine” as his family has received unending love throughout this year. He also called his family “lucky” and talked about how the entire Bollywood industry was “genuinely happy” at the success party of Gadar 2  and called it a “rare celebration.”

While reflecting on the collective success shared by his family, Bobby Deol said “God has been kind. The love my family has received from fans and audiences is so genuine. They genuinely wish the best for us. When good things happen, people want to be a part of the celebration. We’re lucky and blessed for that. When my brother hosted a success party for Gadar 2, everybody from the industry came because they were genuinely happy for us. It doesn’t happen that to everyone.”

Bobby Deol also accepted the nervousness and euphoria that he faced after his comeback in Race 3 and said “I’ve seen failure. It’s up to you if you want to learn the lessons that failure teaches you. It strengthens your self-belief. An actor’s life changes from one weekend to another. You’ll give a hit one weekend and a flop on the other. Sometimes, you expect so much from one project and nothing happens. That’s how an actor’s life is, including the biggest stars. We’ll always have that insecurity. All big stars have also gone through a lull.”

Opinion about his character in ”Animal”

When he was asked about his character in ”Animal”, he stated “I was sick and tired of playing the same kind of roles. When you do things that are out of your comfort zone, it brings out something new from within you and it surprises people. It happened when they saw me in the first teaser of Animal where I’m pointing my knife to call someone inside the room. I hadn’t seen that scene on the monitor. The first time I saw it, I was like Ohh!'”

Bobby Deol was quite confident and fearless for his future roles and also talked about how he wants to break free from the old conventional roles and try to find new spaces to enact. The recent movie ”Animal ” in which Bobby Deol was seen, faced quite harsh criticism for being misogynistic and problematic but Bobby Deol’s character was highly praised and loved by the audiences.
