Filmmaker Karan Johar has yet again grabbed the headlines for all the wrong reasons. An old video of Karan from an event has gone viral where he was seen confessing that he wanted to ‘murder’ Anushka Sharma’s career. Post this, he has been facing wrath of a section of netizens and also a few from the industry has also reacted. Vivek Agnihotri and Apurva Asrani are among them.

The Kashmir Files director took to his Twitter handle, and shared the old interview of Karan where he was seen sitting along with Anushka and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It was during the film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Sharing the video, Vivek wrote “someone’s only hobby is to make or break careers”. He further wrote that if Bollywood is in gutter, it is because of some people’s dirty ‘backroom’ politics against the outsiders who are talented.

What Karan Johar Said In The Video

It was in 2016, Karan during a discussion with Rajeev Masand and Anupama Chopra revealed that he was not happy that Aditya Chopra signed Anushka as the lead actress for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. He said that he wanted to “completely murder” Anushka’s career in the industry.

For the unversed, the video has gone viral after Priyanka Chopra’s big revelation about being ‘cornered’ in Bollywood and that’s the reason she moved to Hollywood. Though PeeCee didn’t take anyone’s name, it was Kangana Ranaut who claimed that it was Karan Johar who was behind it.
