Veteran singer and composer Bappi Lahiri, who won millions of hearts with his music and songs, has passed away. He was 69 years old. Bappi Lahiri sang hit songs in many great Bollywood movies. He also earned a lot of names as a music director. Bollywood is mourning the sudden demise of Bappi Lahiri. Many Bollywood stars have paid tribute to him through social media.

Actor Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to mourn the death of Bappi Lahiri, writing, “Today we have lost another gem from the music industry… Bappi Da, your voice was the reason for millions of people including me to dance. Thank you for all the happiness you brought through your music. My heartfelt condolences to the family, Om Shanti.

Actor Ajay Devgn wrote on Twitter for Bappi Lahiri, ‘Bappi da was very sweet personality. But, his music had an edge. He introduced a more contemporary style to Hindi film music with Chalte Chalte, Suraksha and Disco Dancer, Shanti Dada Aapki Kami Khlegi. Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar has condoled the demise of Bappi Lahiri.

My condolences to his family and fans. Your music will always be immortal sir. Singer Adnan Sami paid tribute to Bappi Lahiri on Twitter. Sharing the lines of the singer’s songs, he wrote in his tweet, ‘He was India’s first rock star. He was filled with love and generosity! They were remembered. May Bappi da’s soul rest in peace.

Apart from these, many other film stars have mourned the death of Bappi Lahiri. Let us tell you that Bappi Lahiri was admitted to Citycare Hospital located in Juhu, Mumbai for the last 29 days. He was suffering from obstructive sleep apnea and recurrent chest infections. According to the doctor, he got relief in between. After which Bappi Lahiri was discharged from the hospital on 15 February and sent home.
