‘Border 2’: Ayushmann Khurrana Reportedly Let Go Of Sunny Deol Starrer; Here’s Why!

According to the recent report, Ayushmann is no longer involved in ‘Border 2’ because he was ‘unsure of his positioning’ in the Sunny Deol-led film.

Actor Sunny Deol made the official announcement of “Border 2,” the follow-up to his 1997 hit movie, in June of this year. There had been rumours that Ayushmann Khurrana would be appearing in the follow-up before the announcement. It was said that he and Sunny were playing the leads. Ayushmann, however, is reportedly no longer involved in “Border 2” because he was “unsure of his positioning” in the Sunny Deol-directed movie, according to the most recent report.

What led Ayushmann Khurrana to leave ‘Border 2’?

According to Mid-Day, Ayushmann has bowed out of the Sunny Deol film following months of negotiations. The portal was informed by a source that “Ayushmann was in talks to play a soldier in the sequel. While both Ayushmann and the makers were keen on collaborating, the actor felt unsure of his positioning in an ensemble led by Sunny, a towering star in his own right.”

Anurag Singh will serve as the film’s director, and “Border 2″ is anticipated to begin production by November. There have been rumours recently circulating that the war drama will feature Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh. The source claimed in the reports that Diljit has been contacted by the makers, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet. ”It will be a treat to see Diljit and Sunny together on screen, given their strong audience base in north India,” added the source. Sunny Deol and the producers have both declined to comment on Ayushmann’s leaving from the film.
