Brad Pitt ‘Upset’ After Daughter Shiloh ‘Legally’ Drops His Surname

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are tied up in a bitter legal battle concerning a 1,300-acre vineyard in France. Amid the legal battle, there are allegations that Pitt has been physically assaulting Jolie in front of their children.

One after another, all the kids Pitt co-parented with ex-wife Angelina Jolie have been dropping his last name. Now, a source close to the actor says that he is ‘aware’ and ‘upset’ with the situation. Shiloh, who recently turned 18, is the first of Brad and Angelina Jolie’s children to make the official change. Shiloh chose to drop Pitt from her name soon after her 15-year-old sister Vivienne also appeared to have done so. ‘Aware and Upset’

On May 27, media outlets reported that Shiloh, who recently turned 18 and is one of Jolie and Pitt’s three biological children, officially filed to drop his name a week before becoming an adult. The other two children are 15-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox.

The source close to Brad Pitt revealed, “He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter,” a source told People, describing how the Babylon actor feels after his kids decided to drop his name. Brad Pitt ‘misses his kids

The insider stresses that it’s not easy for Brad to see all this, and the distance from his children ‘pains him’ a lot. “The reminder that he’s lost his children is, of course, not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”

The two actors first met on the set of action comedy Mr & Mrs Smith in 2004. At the time, Brad was married to Jennifer Aniston, they announced their separation on January 7, 2005.

During Angelina Jolie’s second marriage to Billy Bob, the couple adopted a child, Maddox, from Cambodia in March 2002, but abruptly separated three months later. Zahara was adopted seven months after her birth in Ethiopia when Angelina was on a trip with her then-toddler son Maddox. In January 2006, Angelina confirmed to People that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child. It was the first time she’d publicly acknowledged their relationship. That year, Brad became the adoptive father of Maddox and Angelina’s second child, Zahara.

Both of the children’s surnames were changed from “Jolie” to “Jolie-Pitt”. Angelina gave birth to daughter Shiloh Nouvel in Namibia, in May 2006. In the spring of the next year, Angelina adopted three-year-old Pax Thien from an orphanage in Vietnam and Brad adopted Pax in the United States about a year later.
