Rajiv Kapoor, who is popular for movies like ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, ‘ Mera Saathi, and, ‘Hum To Chale Pardes’ has passed away in the early hours of today. Rajiv, who was 58 years old, suffered a massive cardiac arrest and had to be rushed to the nearest Inlaks Hospital by Randhir Kapoor. Unfortunately, he was pronounced ‘dead on arrival’ by the doctors.
Rajiv was the youngest son of late actor-producer Raj Kapoor. He was the brother of late actor Rishi Kapoor, and actor Randhir Kapoor.
Tribute has been pouring from fans, family, and actors as the sad news broke out. He is dearly being remembered as people share their best memories with him.
Anita Raaj, a fellow co-star of Rajiv shared, “I am in shock. I really have no words to describe the pain. Apart from working together, I have known him when we were kids. The actress was fighting back tears as she said, “He was so close to my husband and my son. He was a family and I have lost him. I really lost him. I am sorry…”
Rajiv was being remembered on social media, as Neil Nitin Mukesh wrote, “Devastated!! Another big loss to the family one of my most favourite people in the world. Love him so so dearly. Don’t remember a Happy Moment without him. Chimpu uncle we will miss you.”
His sister-in-law, Neetu Kapoor shared the upsetting news on Instagram and wrote, “RIP”, as she posted along a picture of him. The comment section was quickly filled with support from fans and fellow actors, mourning the loss.
The Kapoor family had lost Rishi Kapoor, last year on April 30 after a two-year battle against cancer.
