BTS J-Hope

K-pop sensation J-Hope from BTS is currently serving in the South Korean military along with other band members. He celebrated his 30th birthday on February 18 with fellow soldiers.

The internet broke when he dropped cosy pictures of himself during the celebrations in the military camp on Sunday. Incidentally, it is his first and last birthday as a soldier.

Mandatory Military Enlistment

South Korea makes it compulsory for able-bodied men to serve in the military. J-Hope began his service on April 18 last year. 2 days back, he gave fans a glimpse of his birthday party as he posted selfies and pics surrounded by other soldiers.

The Insta carousel, captioned “Happy hobi day🤣💜💕🫡,” shows Hobi, a name J-Hope is affectionately called by fans, sporting an oversized sweater in black. He teamed it with a knitted cap as he posed beside a pink birthday cake in a heart shape.

The rapper and songwriter also boasted of the gifts he received, ranging from white flowers to a Louis Vuitton package. In one click, he is in the middle of other soldiers wearing uniforms, and another picture from a recent outing at the Seoul Forest Park, a spot named after him, posing beside a J-shaped bench.

The singer acknowledged fans’ love and support and the BTS ARMY made him whole, “In my heart, you’re always at the centre of any situation… It’s a big part that I haven’t forgotten while promoting for over 10 years.”

Hobi wrapped up saying, “I can feel your love and interest these days. Thanks to you, I didn’t feel lonely this birthday either. I’ll be discharged from the military and say hello in a cool way.”
