BTS V’s “Fri(end)s” Enters Australia’s ARIA Chart For The First Time
BTS vocalist V has returned with a new song that has quickly gained popularity worldwide. His latest single, “Fri(end)s,” has propelled him back onto numerous music charts, marking his debut on a significant ranking in one of the largest music markets globally. The track makes its entry onto the ARIA songs chart in Australia at No. 49, earning V his first charting hit in the nation.
V’s achievement on the ARIA songs chart aligns with the success already attained by three of his fellow BTS bandmates. Currently, only half of the South Korean boy band’s members have secured chart success in Australia, but this number continues to rise as their global popularity grows.
Jung Kook stands out as the most successful BTS member on the Australian songs chart. He began his solo chart journey in 2022 as a featured artist on Charlie Puth’s “Left and Right,” which peaked at No. 19. In 2023, Jung Kook further solidified his presence in Australia with four additional solo hits. His breakout smash, “Seven,” featuring Latto, soared to No. 2 on the chart. Other notable hits include “3D” with Jack Harlow, “Too Much” with The Kid Laroi, and “Standing Next to You.”
Similarly, Jimin also made waves on the Australian songs chart with multiple solo hits in 2023. Notably, his tracks “Set Me Free, Pt. 2” performed impressively, with the latter reaching its peak at No. 23 on the chart.
Additionally, BTS member Jin left his mark on the Australian music scene with his single “The Astronaut,” which peaked at No. 69 in late 2022.
With V’s debut on the ARIA songs chart, the BTS fandom eagerly anticipates further chart success from the group’s members. As BTS continues to dominate the global music scene, their influence and impact on charts around the world remain undeniable.
