Bollywood actress Triptii Dimri, who gained widespread attention for her performance in Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor, has swiftly established herself as one of the industry’s rising stars. Despite her growing popularity, her Bulbbul co-star, Parambrata Chatterjee, believes that Dimri still has much to prove in her career.
At a recent SCREEN event, Parambrata admired Vidya Balan’s exceptional talent, ranking her as the most talented actress in the industry. In contrast, he placed Triptii last in his ranking. “National crushes are temporary, but class is permanent. She has miles to go,” he said, highlighting the distance Dimri still has to travel in her journey. Reflecting on their shared experiences, Parambrata called Triptii “lovely” and praised her personality, but emphasized that she entered the industry at a young age and would need time to grow.
While Parambrata acknowledged Triptii’s potential, he also pointed to Vidy Balan’s remarkable versatility and dedication to her craft, recalling their successful collaboration in the film Kahaani. “She’s a class apart in whatever she does,” he noted, underscoring the gap that Dimri must bridge to reach such heights.
Despite the scrutiny, Triptii Dimri remains unfazed. In a recent interview with Forbes India, the actress shared her approach to navigating the pressures of the film industry. “You can’t keep all that noise in mind. You have to follow your heart and do things that you feel are right,” she said, emphasizing that she focuses on delivering her best in every role, irrespective of the outcome. Her unwavering commitment to her craft underscores her resilience in an industry known for its high expectations.
Triptii also addressed the ongoing discussions surrounding her image, particularly the perception of her as being “overtly sexualized” in some of her roles. The actress expressed a strong desire to break free from such stereotypes and pursue a range of diverse characters. “The aim is to play different characters because I don’t want to go to a set and feel bored. I want to feel challenged,” she explained. Her upcoming film, Arjun Ustara, which stars Shahid Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, and Randeep Hooda, is expected to showcase her versatility and further solidify her place in the industry.
As Triptii continues to rise in Bollywood, her focus on growth and breaking boundaries signals a promising future ahead.
