Till now, 47 inmates have been auditioned and trained as radio jockey in these jails. The state’s first Jail Radio was inaugurated at Panipat by Shri Ranjit Singh, Jail Minister, Haryana. The song received applause
While releasing this masterpiece of Jitendra, Jail Superintendent Shri Sunil Sangwan said,”Inmates are excited with their engagement to the prison radio. This radio has brought a unique opportunity for them to showcase their talent.”
Dr. Vartika Nanda, prison reformer and the brainchild behind the Jail Radio in Haryana says, “Tinka Tinka is trying to create a rainbow of hope in jails through Prison Radio. This podcast is one of the color of the rainbow. A few days ago, Sheru, an inmate of Central Jail Ambala composed and sung a song. We want to promote the local language and dialects along with nurturing the talent of the prisoners through jail radio. This is an important part of the Tinka Model of Prison Reform. We are releasing these songs on Tinka Jail Radio’s podcast and online music platforms like Spotify.”
This song will be played through radio in all the jails of Haryana so that the rest of the prisoners also get inspired. Through this Tinka Tinka is building a bridge across prisons so that prisons can positively connect with each other.
