Censor Board ran its scissors on Deepika Padukone in Pathaan
However, it is not the first time that the Censor Board has affected some changes in Deepika Padukone and Sidharth Anand’s films. Shahrukh Khan starrer Pathaan (2023) also went through the chainsaw treatment from the board such as –
- Only close-up shots of buttocks
- Only side-pose (partial nudity)
- Erotic dance moves in the line Bahut Tang Kiya Re in the song Besharam Rang were either deleted or cut down, and were switched with ‘suitable shots’
Why should you watch Fighter?
To begin with, Fighter is the first Indian aerial action film. Secondly, it is motivated by the Pulwama attack (2019).
The film was heavily shot at the Air Force Station Tezpur in Assam. Shamsher Pathania or Patty (Hrithik Roshan) brings his childhood dream to life when he becomes a member of the Indian Air Force. Apart from Hrithik, Deepika, and Anil in lead roles, other actors like Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, and Talat Aziz are also playing crucial parts in the film.
The film gives a real-time sneak peek into the lives of Air Dragons and their zest for serving India. Air Dragons is the elite unit laced together by the Air Headquarters. It boasts the best combat aviators across the IAF. Its main job is to keep an eagle eye on the militant activities in the Srinagar Valley. Air Dragons are the first ones to respond to enemy activities.
Fighter’s budget is a whopping Rs. 250 crores. Produced by Sidharth Anand, Jyoti Deshpande, Ajit Andhare, Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb, and Anku Pande, it comes under Viacom18 Studios and Marfix Pictures.
