Filmmaker Tanuja Chandra’s latest offering Hush Hush is making a lot of noise since the time it was announced. The series made headlines as it brought back the yesteryear actor Ayesha Jhulka on board. Besides that, the web show also marks the first on-screen collaboration of Ayesha with Juhi Chawla. The show has opened to positive reviews. The audience has declared the show a hit as it has an engaging story to tell.
Apart from Jhulka and Chawla, Hush Hush also stars Soha Ali Khan, Karishma Tanna, Kritika Kamra, Shahana Goswami and Chaitanya Choudhary. This is Choudhary’s debut on OTT. Interestingly, in the first digital show itself, Chaitanya (who portrays Ranveer) had to perform some steamy scenes with his co-star Soha Ali Khan (who plays Saiba). Now that the actor is receiving appreciation for his role, he opened up about how he managed to do the kissing scene with Soha.
Chaitanya revealed that he was feeling nervous before the scene but Soha and his director Tanuja were very supportive. They explained him nicely and all went well. “Soha was simply amazing. From the very first day we met at the dress trials, right through the entire shoot of Hush Hush, I’m fortunate to have had her as my co-star. I must admit I was nervous about the kissing scene, cause I had never kissed on screen but Soha and director Tanuja Chandra helped me get comfortable,” he stated.
“We discussed how the scene should be and how it would be shot so it helped. I was never uncomfortable during the shoot because everyone in the team – the cast and crew were so amazing and supportive. Tanuja ma’am was a guiding light for me, she believed in me and made me believe in myself as an actor. I’m truly grateful to her for everything. A great piece of work is always a team effort. The ott platform has some great scripts and after my first series now I am looking forward to playing more versatile roles on OTT, added Chaitanya.
Hush Hush is currently streaming on Netflix. It revolves around five women whose lives get intersected in unexpected ways due to an unfortunate incident.
