Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a big announcement on Thursday. The CM has declared Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ tax free in the state. Let us inform you that on Thursday, a special screening of ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ was kept for the Yogi cabinet. Soon after watching the film, the Chief Minister himself announced that the film would be tax free. Significantly, Akshay Kumar is playing the role of Prithviraj in Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s film. Earlier, the Yogi government had also made Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ tax free for the audience.

Earlier today, Hon’ble Home Minister Amit Shah lauded Samrat Prithviraj and even said that it is a film that talks about Indian women and their empowerment. Several politicians and even the Karni Sena praised the film’s content. Therefore, it is not surprising that the film has been declared tax free in Uttar Pradesh.

Reports also claim that other states are also affected by the film and if all goes well, the film will be declared tax-free in other Indian states as well.
