Actors who started as child artistes in movies and TV are now finding good, meaty roles in movies and on OTT platforms. Here is a list of such actors.

Siddharth Nigam

Siddharth Nigam who started off his career in Hindi movies with a big budget movie like Dhoom 3 was later seen in TV serials like Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Chandra Nandini and Aladdin – Naam toh Suna Hoga. Siddharth played the roles of young Sahir and Samar in the Aamir Khan starrer. Now in 2023, he is a part of the big budget Salman Khan entertainer, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan where he plays the character ‘Luv’. In a recent interview, Siddharth mentioned that he would be ready to do season 4 of Aladdin if the makers approach him, but as an actor he wishes to grow and spend more time working on films and OTT.

Ahsaas Channa

Ahsaas Channa played the role of a young boy as a child actor in movies like Vaastu Shastra, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and My Friend Ganesha.

She is now playing roles of a teenage girl in web series – The Kota Factory and Girls hostel. She is very active on social media and shares her updates with her followers.

Vishal Jethwa

Vishal Jethwa essayed the role of Akbar in the hugely popular serial Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. He was later seen playing the role of a serial killer in Mardaani 2 for which he was nominated and also won many awards. Recently, he was seen sharing screen with Kajol in the movie Salaam Venky.

Swini Khara

Swini Khara took everyone by surprise as she announced her engagement recently. She is best known for her roles in Cheeni Kum and Baa, Bahoo Aur Baby. Swini now works in a law firm. Although she is not focused on acting, she says that she might consider acting if an interesting script comes her way.

Ulka Gupta

Ulka is popularly known as Rani Lakshmi as she portrayed the young queen in the T.V. serial Jhansi Ki Rani. Later she went on to act in a Telugu film and is currently playing the main lead in the serial , Banni Chow Home Delivery.

 

Ashnoor Kaur

Ashnoor Kaur is popular for her role in Patiala Babes for which she has won an award too. She also played significant roles in serials like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Jhansi ki Rani. She is now seen in smaller roles in movies like Manmarziyaan and Sanju. Ashnoor has approximately 9 million followers on her Instagram account.
